Managing Partner Martin Cornish Quoted in Reuters Blog on Opportunities for Hedge Funds

Martin Cornish, the firm’s Managing Partner, was quoted in the Reuters blog Hedge Hub on the opportunities that may be created for hedge funds as a result of increased regulations on banks. Mr. Cornish says that with more regulations, banks and insurance companies won’t be able to conduct the same highly leveraged and high-risk trades. “We may see some of the [banks’] teams spin out and set up. We’ve certainly seen some more people knocking on our door, saying that’s what they’re doing,” he says, adding, “Some people say fundraising may be difficult, but given the markets maybe you don’t need that much leverage, or that much money.” (“Banks’ pain could be hedge funds’ gain,” 21 April 2009)
