Partner Imran Sami Quoted in International Financing Review on Hedge Fund Consolidation

4 April 2009

Imran Sami, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice, was quoted in an article in International Financing Review on the shrinking hedge fund industry. Smaller funds have been the hardest hit by the economic crisis, and many of them have closed. “The advantages of pooling marketing and administrative resources will be factors in increasing [fund consolidation] activity,” Mr. Sami says. “Back office, risk management compliance, reporting and other increased fixed costs will require a larger asset base, especially during times of low or non-existent performance fees.” (“Hedge fund exodus far from over, predict investors,” 4 April 2009)
